Ms. Coulter, as many of you know, is a self-proclaimed Christian. In fact she’s quoted as saying “I don’t care about anything else: Christ died for my sins and nothing else matters.”
Good for her.
The irony, of course, is that so little of what comes out of Ms. Coulter’s mouth is Christian; it’s more akin to fascism with the hateful, mean-spirited venom that comes out of her mouth. (Guess she’s never heard “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love you enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”- Matthew 5.43)
Normally I would laugh at her brand of extremist lunacy whether it’s to the way left or the way right. But sadly Ms. Coulter has far too much influence in the world to dismiss or laugh at.
Anyway, here are listing of some of Ann Coulter’s most sickening quotes:
“I think the government should be spying on all Arabs, engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East and sending liberals to Guantanamo.”
“We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren’t punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That’s war. And this is war.”
“[Canadians] better hope the United States does not roll over one night and crush them. They are lucky we allow them to exist on the same continent.”
“Being nice to people is, in fact, one of the incidental tenets of Christianity (as opposed to other religions whose tenets are more along the lines of ‘kill everyone who doesn’t smell bad and doesn’t answer to the name Mohammed’).”
“In the history of the nation, there has never been a political party so ridiculous as today’s Democrats. It’s as if all the brain-damaged people in America got together and formed a voting bloc.”
“I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word “faggot”, so I — so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards.”
“They’re [Democrats] always accusing us of repressing their speech. I say let’s do it. Let’s repress them. Frankly, I’m not a big fan of the First Amendment.”
“It would be a much better country if women did not vote. That is simply a fact. In fact, in every presidential election since 1950 - except Goldwater in ‘64 - the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted.”
